Forgiveness

Why do people find it so hard FORGIVE their past & others?.. Psshh! I remember when I first had found out in church from my Pastor that in order to live for God, the first step was that I had to forgive those who have hurt me in my past! I thought he was CRAZY to say that, because of the fact that I felt like nobody in my past deserved to be forgiven cuz they hurt me soo bad.. But my Pastor also pointed out that it says in the Bible to forgive others & to love/pray for your enemies! Aha, & boy that was sure hard for me to do! But guess what? Jesus did it! Jesus forgives US each time we do wrong & he also FORGETS what we have done! Alot of the times people say well, “I’ll forgive you, but I won’t forget” … Don’t forget??? Why would you wanna REMEMBER??? I bet that person who hurt you, forgot what they done to you! & While your over there stuck on them, they been moved on with their lives.. Why can’t you do the same?? But ..NO!!! Your wrong, when you don’t FORGET what they done & move forward.. You pretty much still haven’t all the way forgiven that person that’s done you wrong! If were supposed to be Christ like then were supposed to live up to that & really be IMITATORS of God! Which is to FORGIVE & FORGET like he does ALL THE TIME!.. & When you really think about it, when you DON’T forgive others ALL OF THESE happen : [God doesn’t forgive you, you block your blessings, & your NEVER happy] It says in the bible to NOT sin when your ANGRY! When your angry you say things you don’t mean, like.. “I’m never gone talk to you again” etc etc! All of that crap, but LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO STAY MAD AT SOMEONE FOREVER! & When you end up holding grudges, the grudges are actually HOLDING YOU! Believe it or not, that’s the honest TRUTH! Not only that but you can’t trust others in the future because your holding back from built up things inside of you from your PAST! What’s the point of not letting go? What’s that gonna solve? You may say you don’t care but really you DO! You care enough to let that person effect your life enough to keep you from being happy in the future! Whether if it comes from friends, family, relationships etc! You leave pain in your heart from the scars from your past.. & Why bring up something that you CAN’T change? Again, what will that CHANGE? NOTHING! Unfortunately, we can’t turn back the hands of time! You want to tho, cuz your either filled with REGRET, GUILT, RESENTMENT etc! You shouldn’t live life with any regrets! We all make mistakes & LEARN FROM THEM! & Yet it makes you the STRONG/BETTER person you are TODAY! .. When you forgive others, people don’t realize that you are finally at PEACE with life! Your actually able to move forward happily without having to HOLD BACK anything! Live & love like you’ve never been hurt before! Cuz when you don’t forgive & let go, you pretty much let that person whose hurt you, WIN! Cuz they have gotten the best of you!.. I learned the hard way! & Just cuz you forgive someone, yes.. It doesn’t mean you HAVE to be their friend, it doesn’t mean you HAVE to talk to them! But just let go & let God, cuz God can take care of situations way better than you can! & No one deserves to get YOUR PAST thrown on them, when I say that, I’m talking about relationships! Just cuz you been hurt in the past, doesn’t mean that new person is gone do you wrong just like the last! NOT EVERY MALE/FEMALE is the same! Your ignorant to believe that! If you stop giving your hearts away so easily then you wouldn’t have such a bad heartache when things don’t go as planned between you & that person!.. You don’t wanna get hurt? Give your HEART to God! & I promise you, you will have endless JOY in your heart & life! He will never LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU! He’s someone you can confide in, give your all too, trust, love etc .. Everything! He’ll never do you wrong! & Once you do that, he will send you that special someone who will be everything you want & will treat you the way you deserve if you just wait on the Lord!.. PATIENCE! It says in the bible that He knows the desires of your heart! (Psalm 37:40) & (Psalm 20:4) & to Seek His kingdom & everything else will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).. We need to walk IN LOVE & bear the fruits of the spirits (Galatians 5:22-23).. How would you like it if you done something to someone & they never FORGAVE you??? Not a good feeling.. So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you. -Matthew 7:12
